Mr. Columbia River Pageant Rocks

The Mr. Columbia River pageant will be held Saturday evening at 7:00 on April 26th. This hilarious, tongue-in-cheek event to benefit Doernbecher Children’s hospital will be in the Skyview High School auditorium

Starring thirteen Columbia River senior boys, this highly entertaining program spoofs beauty pageants and is guaranteed fun for all. Admission is a $10.00 donation to Doernbecher, an outstanding children’s hospital in Portland. Several River students have been treated at Doernbecher and hundreds of children throughout the Clark County and Portland area have been treated there.

The fine young men who are performing the evening of April 26th are Ryan Jahn, Trevor Anderson, Craig Shubin, Sean Daly, Adam Hoffas, David Leatitagaloa, Quinn Wells, JJ Cadwell, Jesse Wear, John Kiggins, Nick Stewart, Zach Bell, and Harrison Polo. The student-run event coordinator is Colleen Cotter who teams with Bry Blechschmidt and Haley Richart. Sam Frimberger and Olivia Morawski are the boys’ dance instructors, Mark Melchert and Joanne Tuholsky is their ballroom dance teacher, and Lindsey Jahn is the junior coordinator.

The boys have been fund-raising for Mr. Columbia River for several months. Donations in any of the boy’s names can be made to Doernbecher at the Columbia River business office. Checks should be made out to CRHS and the contestant’s name written on the memo line. The Federal tax ID number is available in the business office for these donations. The young man who raises the most money will be crowned Mr. Columbia River the evening of the pageant.

The boys have been honing their dance routines and are looking forward to performing the evening of April 26th at Skyview.  It will be an evening to remember!  Admission to the pageant is a $10.00 donation.  Tickets are available at Columbia River High School or at the door that evening.
