WASL Information

Columbia River will be administering the WASL on the following dates:

  • March 10-11 - Reading
  • March 12-13 - Writing
  • April 15-16 - Math
  • April 17-18 - Science

Columbia River will be administering the WASL to the following students:

  • All 10th graders
  • Any 9th graders who registered to take all or portions of the test a year early
  • Any 11th or 12th grade students who still need to pass one or more of the sections

We will be on a two-hour late start schedule for all of the WASL test dates. If your child is taking the WASL, they should arrive at school by 7:15 am. Please make sure they have eaten a healthy breakfast and that they are well-rested so that they may perform to the best of their ability during the testing sessions. Also, please make every effort to ensure that your child is at school on the testing dates. The state does not allow make-up testing dates. If your child misses a portion of the test, they will need to retake that portion of the test in August (see the CR web site for these dates).

If your child is not taking the WASL, they should arrive at school at 9:20 am. However, the school busses will run at the normal school time. If your child’s only form of transportation is the bus and they are NOT taking the WASL, we will have teacher-supervised study halls available for them until school begins at 9:30 am.
