For the fourth consecutive year, student-broadcasters from Columbia River High School secured nominations in the Northwest Regional Student Production Awards, announced April 30.

The CR Sports crew dominated the sports live event category, securing two of the three nominations for their work on two separate games:

Chieftain boys basketball vs. Woodland

Columbia River also earned one of four nominations in the magazine category for their production of “CR News: Fall Quarter.”

Winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony hosted by the Northwest chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences—the same organization that recognizes excellence in television through the Emmy Awards.

Last year, CR Sports won at the regional level and went on to compete for a National Student Production Award.
